PEDAL Forward Fresno Sculptures

Kathleen King-Page debuts her three sculptures representing the diverse set of riders throughout the world. These characters are Emil, Flora, and Oblivia, each demonstrating different characteristics that bikers around the world have.

Emil, a dedicated father and tireless night worker, symbolizes the struggles of those who labor after dark, embodying the longing for a peaceful homecoming despite his fatigue.

Flora symbolizes the future of biking advocacy, representing young riders who, despite gaining the independence to ride to school, prioritize safety and often go unnoticed by the broader community.

Oblivia, a stylish and carefree rider accompanied by her dog Raisin, represents those oblivious cyclists who, absorbed in their own world, may not be attentive to traffic around them.
