Prem Raj Timilsena

MS in Construction Management

Lyles College of Engineering

Prem Raj Timilsena is an international student pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of Construction Management. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Currently, he is working as a graduate fellow at the Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI), where he contributes to the institute's research and administrative excellence. Prem is interested in researching emerging technologies in construction, advanced transportation technologies, sustainable design, lean construction, and transportation engineering.

Alexis Alexander

Alexis Zane Alexander

BS in Civil Engineering

Lyles College of Engineering

Alexis Zane Alexander is a third-year undergraduate and Lyles College of Engineering Honors student majoring in Civil Engineering with a planned emphasis in Transportation Engineering and intended minor in Japanese at California State University, Fresno. He is currently researching new Big Data GIS analysis tools and how they may be utilized to better understand transportation footprints within the Fresno region.

Currently, Alexis is the President for the Fresno State Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Student Chapter, Secretary for the Fresno State American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Chapter, and Secretary for the Fresno State Chi Epsilon (XE) Honors Society at Fresno State, which he assisted in reinitiating for the Fall 2022 semester. Since the Summer 2023, Alexis has been interning with Mark Thomas, a transportation engineering design firm based in California, and previously interned at Teichert during Summer 2022.

Is a second year student in the process of obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Computer Science. He has an interest in environmental and immigration rights and his educational goal is to work as a public defender in the Valley after attending law school.

Mia Zamora is a recipient of the Smittcamp Family Honors College Scholarship. She is also the Vice President of the League of Women Votes chapter at Fresno State. In her future she plans to be a lawyer, and currently works at RainmondooMiller, ALC.

Vajidullah

Vajidullah Molvizadah

MS in Industrial Technology

Jordon College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology

Vajidullah is an international graduate student originally from Afghanistan majoring in Industrial Technology at California State University, Fresno. Vajidullah is working for Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI) as a website and social media editor and involving in the K-12 Railroad Model competition. He is also a president of the Robotics Club, where he does projects based on engineering and industrial technologies and working on his senior project with Dr. Athanasios Alexandrou and Professor Matthew Crowder about converting a Gasoline car into a Hybrid car for Fall 2022 final year project. 

 

Shubham

Shubham Rana

Shubham is an international graduate student from India majoring in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering. He interned for a construction company and after that he decided to pursue his masters in the United States. Shubham is in his third semester where he already worked as an instructional student assistant and teaching assistant under Dr. Wright and Dr. Roa simultaneously and now he's working as a Graduate Research Fellow at FSTI researching with Dr. Aly Tawfik on Public Opinion and Acceptance of different types of roundabouts.

Marina Lima

Marina is a graduate student of Masters program in Civil Engineering at California State University, Fresno. Marina Lima has worked on the design and development of the K-12 Railroad Model competition at  Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI). She is the author of the competition's manuals and has developed research about recent developments in transportation technology for regional air mobility. Marina Lima received recognition for academic excellence and leadership. She was the president of the International Transportation Engineers (ITE) student chapter at Fresno State and also works full-time as a project engineer in a local engineering company.

 

Rony

Subhadip Sarkar

MS in Mechanical Engineering

Lyles College of Engineering

Subhadip aka Rony is an MS Mechanical Engineering graduate student with the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University, Fresno. Rony is currently leading the K-12 Hands-on Outreach Activities at Fresno State Transportation Institute. He has designed and developed the Activities and their supporting Lesson Plans. To date, he has led over 11 individual sessions consisting of over 250 students from over 13 different schools. His research area includes the development of active materials for Lithium-ion batteries using 3D printing methods and micro plasma-based surface modification methods for efficient electrochemical energy storage. He is currently the Vice-President of the Materials Research Society (MRS) of Fresno State and is actively involved in campus activities.

 

Utsav

Utsav Shah

MS in Civil Engineering

Lyles College Of Engineering

Utsav is an International Graduate student from India majoring in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering. Utsav has worked as an Asst. Civil Engineer for 4.5 years in India and later he decided to pursue his master in the United States. Utsav is in his third semester researching with Dr. Aly Tawfik on Analysis of Freight Movements in the San Joaquin Valley.

Lucca Lorenzi

Degree in Media, Communication and Journalism

College of Arts and Humanities

Lucca has a degree in Media, Communication and Journalism with an option in Public Relations and minors in Multimedia Arts and Italian Studies. In 2017, he founded “Pack It Up For Packard,” an art supply and book drive for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital-Stanford that, to date, has donated over 7,000 supplies and books (both in English and Spanish) in efforts to restock their art therapy program and children’s library. In addition, he is a Fresno State Smittcamp Family Honors College Scholar and enjoys working with organizations, including the Central California Red Cross, Valley Children's Healthcare, California Water Institute and the Fresno State Transportation Institute.

Throughout all of his work, Lucca works to promote the healing power of creativity.
