Lyles College Of Engineering

Alexis Perez is a 4th-year Civil Engineering student. He is a member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), and Vice-President of ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineers). He participates in the CHP (California Highway Patrol) Explorer program, works as a real estate assistant and has a California real estate license. He is also works at Fresno Transportation Insitute where he contributes to research within FSTI and helps with educational outreach efforts.

Anahi Labra is in the Interactive Multimedia Design track, and is working as the web designer for FSTI. Previously, she attended a Studio Arts program while studying abroad in Florence, Italy where she had the opportunity to be in two art exhibitions. In addition, her poster designs were chosen for a magazine created by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, an art gallery foundation, for their project Art Matters.

He recently joined the Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI) as a Student Assistant and is looking forward to gaining research experience. Andres enjoys learning about emerging technologies and expanding his skills in programming and problem-solving. He hopes to build a strong foundation in his field and pursue a career in software development or AI. Through his role at FSTI, he aims to develop technical expertise, collaborate with professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects.

Jacob Castro is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems. He is a Graduate Student Assistant at the Fresno State Transportation Institute, where he supports ongoing projects. Jacob has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and is a licensed Engineer-In-Training. His interests include power systems, specifically efficiency, coordination, renewable energy, smart grids, and optimization.

She has previously worked with the admissions and recruitment office at Fresno State, and now has a current role in Supplemental Instruction, an academic support initiative that offers students peer-assisted study sessions and office hours outside of the classroom. She is also working as a Student Assistant at Fresno State Transportation Institute, showcasing her commitment to both academic and administrative excellence.

Logan Barrett is a multimedia designer and marketing professional specializing in branding, advertising, and event coordination. He currently works at FFB Bank and Fresno State Transportation Institute (FSTI), where he creates impactful marketing materials. At FFB Bank, Logan has designed billboards and developed digital and print ads featured at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. At FSTI, he has led branding, sponsorship outreach, and marketing campaigns for various projects, including the Railroad Model Competition. He has also assisted in organizing both the 2024 S.T.E.P. Summit and the upcoming 2025 Summit. With a BFA in Graphic Design from Fresno State, he blends creativity with strategic marketing to enhance brand visibility and engagement across industries.

Youssef Ali is a Computer Engineering student at California State University, Fresno, with experience in controls engineering, system design, and cybersecurity. He has worked as a Controls Engineering Intern at JBT FoodTech, debugging automation scripts and designing electrical schematics. As a Research Assistant, he enhanced the SRAM PUF temperature monitoring system, integrating Raspberry Pi for improved scalability. Youssef also served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader, helping students strengthen their programming skills. With expertise in Verilog, PLCs, and cybersecurity (ISC² CC certified), he is passionate about automation, secure systems, and innovative engineering solutions. His work reflects a strong commitment to technology, problem-solving, and collaboration in both academic and professional settings.

Alexa is a sophomore mechanical engineer with an interest in aerospace and space travel. Some of her interests include building rockets, taking care of her 3 foster kittens, and spending quality time with her friends. One day she hopes to travel to space, but viewing the stars from her backyard is good enough for now. In the future she hopes to work in the aerospace industry, preferably for a company that focuses on space travel and exploration. She believes that all dreams are achievable with enough determination.
