Ms. Tikiri Amarasinghe is a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and
Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fresno. She has been lecturing
since 2016 at this university. Ms. Amarasinghe holds two M.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics
(2001) and Engineering Mathematics (2003) from Southern Methodist University, Dallas,
Texas and University of Texas at Dallas, Texas, respectively. She received her Bachelor
of Science degree in mathematics from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her work lies
in the areas of differential equations and matrices. She has been lecturing in linear
and nonlinear mathematical modeling of physical systems and analytical techniques.
She also taught Math for Business and Economics, Fundamentals of Statistics and College
Algebra at Richland Community College, Richardson, TX; Intermediate Algebra, Trigonometry
and Arithmetic at Fresno City Community College, Fresno, CA; and Intermediate Algebra
and Elementary Algebra at Clovis Community College Center, Clovis, CA.
