Lyles College of Engineering

Summer Camp

Join Fresno State’s Lyles College of Engineering for our annual K-12 Summer Camps!

Tracks to the Future:

Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State invites high school students to our summer program, which will host 120 students at one of 6 universities! Fresno State, Michigan Tech, Penn State Altoona, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, the University of South Carolina, and the University of New Mexico, have teamed up to offer up to 120 high school students across the U.S. an exciting opportunity to learn more about rail transportation and engineering in Summer 2023. All applicants who are accepted for the program will receive scholarships that cover the program fees, so don't wait, encourage your favorite student to get an application in today!

All students this year will participate in a Hybrid Program that combines a virtual portion (at home) with a two-day visit to one of the six partnering campuses (max. 20 on each campus). There are two different session choices. The first, from June 19-23, will feature campus visits to Fresno State, Michigan Tech, or the University of South Carolina. The second, from July 17-21, will offer campus visits to Penn State-Altoona, University of Illinois, or the University of New Mexico.

Registration is now open with a deadline of March 12th for the first cut on session and location options. We will continue to accept applications after that on a first-come, first-served basis until each session/location is filled. After locations are filled, applicants will be offered slots at the remaining open locations.
