Graduate Courses:
Hovannes Kulhandjian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and
Computer Engineering at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). Before joining Fresno State he was an Associate Research Engineer in the Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University.
He received his B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering with high honors (magna cum
laude) from the American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2008, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2010 and 2014, respectively. During his Ph.D. training, he was working in the Wireless
Networks and Embedded Systems (WiNES) Laboratory at the State University of New York at Buffalo under the guidance of
Prof. Tommaso Melodia.
His current research interests are in wireless communications, applied machine learning,
intelligent transportation systems, precision agriculture, underwater acoustic communications,
visible light communications, brain computer interfaces, physical layer security,
robotics and artificial intelligence. He is Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has authored, co-authored several dozen peer reviewed journals, technical reports,
and conference papers.
