Jaklin joined the Construction Management department in 2021 while she was a master's
student in the Lyles College of Engineering. Jaklin Graduated with her masters in
2022 as the Graduate Dean's Medalist and continued as a part time lecturer after graduation.
Jaklin brings over a decade of engineering and project management expertise to her
role as a Lecturer at CSU
Fresno's Lyles College of Engineering. With a background spanning both public and
private sectors, Jaklin's practical experience enriches her teaching, providing students
with real-world insights and skills. Currently serving as an Engineer within the Community
Development & CIP Engineering department at the City of Visalia, Jaklin's dedication
to her profession is evident in her commitment to introducing new technologies and
fostering partnerships with industry and academia.
Jaklin's contributions extend beyond her teaching responsibilities. She has been instrumental
in managing various projects for the City of Visalia. Including high-profile projects
such as the Visalia Civic Center Campus which includes: a new Public Safety Administration
Building, Police Evidence/Support Building, and new City Council Chambers Building.
Further she has been project managing Visalia Fire Stations No. 56 and 51. These projects
are multi-million-dollar endeavors showing exceptional leadership and project management
skills. Her innovative use of technology, such as LiDAR, has earned her the APWA Project
of the Year Award in the Structures category.
Furthermore, Jaklin's commitment to mentoring the next generation of engineers is
commendable. She actively engages students through project partnerships with clubs
like the Digital Innovation and Research Club at Fresno State, providing invaluable
hands-on experience and mentorship opportunities.
In summary, Jaklin's blend of academic expertise and practical experience makes her
a valuable asset to CSU Fresno's Lyles College of Engineering. Her dedication to innovation,
collaboration, and mentorship exemplifies the university's commitment to fostering
excellence in engineering education and preparing students for successful careers
