Mentoring

The KIND program is working to develop and operate an inter-institution, virtual mentoring and networking program for all CSU engineering faculty. The mentoring sessions will be held three times per year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). During these events, small groups of faculty, especially women and URM faculty, will meet with a series of mentors who have successfully crossed certain career barriers that are commonly experienced by the junior/mid-career faculty. Seminars with presentations to empower women and URM women to overcome bias will also be presented for CSU engineering faculty. Annual mentoring panels featuring women faculty of various ranks will also be held for individuals interested in a career as CSU engineering faculty.
