Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (BSCM) degree program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), the professional accreditation organization of the construction industry.

Program Objectives
- Improve student success and graduation rates consistent with university initiatives
- Enhance smart growth of freshman and transfer student enrollment in the degree program consistent with available resources
- Enhance the quality of freshman and transfer students enrolled in the degree program
- Enhance academic advising for incoming freshman and transfer students
- Enhance opportunities for students to have diverse and experiential learning through involvement in high-impact education practices
- Enhance student career assistance to increase the placement of graduates in entry-level positions across construction industry sectors

Change or Declare Major in CM
Depending on the capacity of enrollment and classroom spaces, the BSCM program welcome students at Fresno State to apply for declaring a major or change their major to CM. Please review the criteria below carefully before you proceed with your application.
- If you have not passed MATH 70 or MATH 75 with a "C" or better, your application will be declined and you have to apply again in the next cycle (AY2026-27).
- If you have passed MATH 70 or MATH 75 with a "C" or better, but have not passed PHYS 2A with a "C" or better, your application will be pending your completion of PHYS 2A with a "C" or better. No new application is needed.
- If you have passed MATH 70 or MATH 75, and PHYS 2A with a "C" or better, and your GPA is below 2.7, your application will be pending until GPA is improved.
- If you have passed MATH 70 or MATH 75, and PHYS 2A with a "C" or better, and your GPA is above 2.7, your application will be approved immediately.
- In any circumstances, if you have prior professional experience in construction, it will enhance your case.
