Construction Management

Internship Program

Overview

The Fresno State Construction Management degree requires students to complete an internship for class credit (CM 193). This requirement is built upon the understanding that internships greatly enhance the educational experience of the student and significantly impact the readiness of the student upon graduation. Students are expected to complete approximately 400 hours of work during their internship. The majority of the work done must be related to construction management. This is so students have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, while also giving employers a chance to develop future employees.

Please contact the Department of Construction Management at fscm@mail.fresnostate.edu if you are interested in receiving more information about this program.

How are students connected with internship opportunities?

Lunch and Learn Company Presentations:

The Construction Management department coordinates "lunch and learn" presentations with various companies in the industry. Companies come onto campus and promote their organization, highlight their internship and employment opportunities, and answer questions from students. Some also conduct interviews after the presentation.

Presentations take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. A list of dates that are already taken can be found on our Facebook page

Job and Internship Postings:

The department has a LinkedIn group specifically for posting job and internship opportunities. Students and alumni may request to have access to this group, and once accepted are able to see these opportunities. Jobs and internships are posted continuously throughout the year. This is a great option for those who elect to not do a presentation.

Companies - please contact the department at
fscm@mail.fresnostate.edu if you are interested in either of the above items.
