Dr. Ching Chiaw Choo, PE, is a licensed Civil Engineering in Arizona (55168) and California (82202). Dr. Choo joined the faculty of the Civil Engineering Program as an assistant professor in the Fall of 2007, after working as a research fellow at the Kentucky Transportation Center from 2005 – 2007. As the recipient of the 2013 ASCE Outstanding Faculty Advisor (San Francisco Section) and Certificate of Recognition from Mayor Ashley Swearengin in 2014, Dr. Choo devotes his career serving and mentoring students, particularly of those from the underrepresented groups. Dr. Choo has contributed to more than 40+ publications in the form of journal papers, conference proceedings, book chapters, and technical reports. Dr. Choo is a member of civil engineering professional organizations, including ASCE, ACI, AISC, and ASEE, and has served as a reviewer to various engineering journals.
