2023 Ceremony
Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Save Mart Center
General Information:
Ceremony begins promptly at 8:00 am
Graduating students must wear cap and gown
Cap and Gown will be available for purchase at the Kennel Bookstore beginning March
27, 2023. You can also place an order online as well.
Bachelors: Includes cap, gown and tassel ~ $40.00 + tax
Masters: Includes cap, gown, hood and tassel ~ $76 + tax
Graduation Announcements - Order forms will be available in the Copy Center, located
on the lower level of the bookstore. Announcements are $1.80 each per invite. Pack
of 10 is $18.00 + tax
Grad Boxes available for purchase via Alumni Association
Tickets are not required for guests

Guidelines for Participation in Spring 2023 Lyles College Commencement Ceremony
Participation in commencement exercises is limited to students who either:
(1) have completed all graduation requirements and have applied for graduation; or
(2) are approved for early participation in the graduation ceremony if graduating
in the immediate summer or fall semester
Guidelines for early participation:
● Students must submit a formal request via their Faculty Advisor, for review by the
Department Chair and Dean’s Office
● Formal Request Process:
1. Email a formal request to their Faculty Advisor, which will include:
a. Reason for request for early participation
b. Planned graduation semester (must be Summer 2023 or Fall 2023)
c. Includes the following statement: “I understand and agree that I can only participate in one LCOE commencement ceremony.”
2. Faculty advisor will review the request and then forward it to their Department
Chair with the following information:
a. Confirm that all required information is provided in the request
b. Confirm the planned graduation semester (must be Summer 2023 or Fall
2023)
c. Recommendation if the request should be approved or not approved
d. Add any additional comments regarding the request
3. The Department Chair will review the request and then forward it to LCOE Dean with
the following information:
a. Recommendation if the request should be approved or not approved
b. Add any additional comments regarding the request
4. The LCOE Dean will review the request and the student will be notified of the final
decision
