Valley Industry Partnership
Welcome to Valley Industry Partnership (VIP) for Cooperative Education!
The VIP Program is a unique partnership between leading companies and the Lyles College of Engineering and developed to provide internship opportunities for qualified students of Junior Level Standing.
Program Goals
The Valley Industry Partnership was formed as a cooperative effort between Fresno State and a number of local companies. The main goal of the program is to provide a rich, well rounded educational experience for students majoring in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, industrial technology, and mechanical engineering. This is done by providing the students an opportunity to work in a real-world environment.
This program is very similar to the internship programs found in other disciplines. Internship programs help give students hands-on professional team experience. This compliments the work that they do in the classroom by applying classroom knowledge professionally.
